Another Brick in the Wall
2020-2024
"Another Brick In The Wall" is a community-wide art project, celebrating Farnham becoming a World Craft Town. Each participant sculpts their designs on to a raw brick. The bricks are then bisque fired and made into public art sculptures.
Making Matters ran brick workshops from 2020 - 2022, with schools, colleges, the University for the Creative Arts, care homes, the Farnham Ukrainian community; 318 Ceramics and West Street Potters, scout troops, community groups at the Maltings and via public workshops, resulting in over 600 bricks.
The bricks will be made into public art installations by Keppel Nowson of Making Matters. The first installation, 'A Fishy Tail' is in the Evelyn Borelli Gardens. The second installation will be built in 2024.
